Yellow can is Yunnan Baiyao aerosol maintenance spray of 85 grams. Red can is Yunnan Baiyao aerosol insurance impact spray of 30 grams. 

Yunnan Baiyao is a traditional Chinese formula used to help stop bleeding, promote healing from a minor wound or internal injuries.* The product is now used worldwide by humans as well as for veterinary use. Yunnan Baiyao is made from precious herbal materials indigenous to Yunnan. The exact ingredients and production procedure of Yunnan Baiyao are still state secrets of China. It is believed that the main Chinese herb is San Qi, or called Tien Chi, also known as Panax pseudoginseng, Panax notoginseng, or Notoginseng. 90 year's herbal practice has shown its legendary effectiveness. The product has won the Chinese National Gold Medal for its high quality in 1979, 1984 and 1989.

Directions: Shake the bottle several times before spray. Hold the bottle vertically with the spray nozzle 5 to 10 cm to the affected skin, spray not more than 5 seconds lest causing cold injury.

Red Can (Impact Spray): Use first at the time of injury, spray the affected area. For acute pain, spray again, after 5 - 15 mins.

Yellow Can (Maintenance Spray): For continued relief use as a maintenance spray after using the red can OR on its own, for general aches and pain. It may also be used on open wounds to stop bleeding and promote rapid healing.

The main difference is that the active ingredient Baoxianye is more concentrated in the red can and should not be used on open wounds, cuts, and grazes.
